How to Use the Disney Genie

It’s easy to use the Disney Genie to make your vacation planning a breeze. You can change your reservations, reserve dining plans, and even skip the standby line when you get to the parks. However, there are a few tips that you should know to make your trip more magical.

Buying Disney Genie Plus

If you are planning a Disney trip, you may want to look into buying Disney Genie Plus. This service, available at Disney World, allows you to skip the wait line and get into an attraction quickly.

The service is not included with any other ticket, but is sold as an add-on to the general admission tickets. To purchase Genie Plus, you will need to download the My Disney Experience app. You will also need to link your device to your Disney account by entering your username and password.

You can choose to use Genie Plus for multiple attractions. This will allow you to skip the line and experience multiple rides. Some of the benefits you can expect include access to special lines and virtual private events. In addition, you may be able to enjoy special character experiences and behind-the-scenes content.

Another benefit is the ability to stack your reservations. For example, you can choose to go on the Radiator Springs Racers and then the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. However, if you’re going to choose the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you will have to go through another park.

Individual Lightning Lanes (ILL) are not included with Genie+. ILLs are the most popular rides in each theme park. ILLs are sold for $10 to 22 per ride, and you can purchase up to two ILLs per day. ILLs are used to shorten the wait time for select rides.

As a part of your Genie+, you can also receive a Multiple Experience pass. This pass includes a list of attractions you can visit. However, it does not cover the full list of rides. Select attractions may have shorter wait times or faster return times. Also, a ride breaking down during its return time will earn you a Multiple Experience.

When purchasing your tickets, make sure to purchase the ILLs or Genie Plus before you head to the parks. They can often sell out fast, so don’t wait too long!

Aside from purchasing Disney Genie Plus, you can also try to get free Fastpasses. This will allow you to skip the line to certain rides, but you must be prepared to wait in line for the rest of your day.

Arranging dining plans

If you are in the market for a trip to Walt Disney World, do yourself a favor and find out what the resort offers in the way of dining options. There are numerous table service establishments and fast food outlets to choose from. In addition to the standard room rate, guests may opt for one of several special dining plans.

A good way to find out is to browse through the restaurant menus online or enlist the help of a knowledgeable cast member. Some of the restaurants have a formal dining schedule while others are more informal. It is also worthwhile to inquire about any special diets or restrictions prior to booking. Remember to bring your Magic Band. The best part is, you can use the same card to pay for your purchases.

The resort also runs several special dining promotions on select nights of the week. One of these is a free meal at a themed restaurant. Another is a dining plan that allows for two free meals and free drinks at participating bars and clubs. Many of these special dinners are only available to guests staying in the resort. Guests also have access to a free shuttle between parks. This is a great way to avoid the throngs of Disney buffs swarming the park’s main entrance. After all, who wants to spend all their time in line?

Skip the standby line

The Disney Genie is an app that turns your cell phone into a reservation agent. It helps you avoid the hassle of standing in line at the park. This service can save you a lot of time during busy seasons, holidays, and special events.

With Genie, you can select an arrival window for one attraction at a time. You’ll enter the attraction through Lightning Lane, a queue that bypasses the standby lines.

To use the Genie, you need to be on the My Disney Experience app. You’ll get a list of attractions that are included in the Genie+ service. You can then make a reservation for one attraction or a combination of attractions.

In addition to allowing you to skip the standby line, the Genie+ feature offers other benefits. For example, the app will recommend lesser-known attractions. And it will give you a personalized recommendation based on your preferences.

You’ll also be able to make reservations for food and beverages. Some attractions, like Test Track and Soarin’, have been added to the list of Genie+ attractions.

However, you won’t be able to book more than one ride on any given day. Plus, you’ll only be able to ride an attraction once. If you want to get on an attraction multiple times, you’ll have to pay a separate fee.

Using the Genie app to skip the standby line might not be as effective as it looks. In some cases, the actual wait time may be half as long as the time the app says. Even worse, the app might fail to complete its task.

Ultimately, you’ll have to decide whether or not you want to invest in the Genie+ feature. But for power visitors, it can be a great way to minimize your time in the parks.

The best park to use the Genie+ is Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The fast lanes are not free, though they’re cheaper than they used to be. That means you’ll have to pay around $32 per ride. By skipping the queue, you’ll be able to spend more time exploring other areas of the park.

Changing reservations

Disney Genie is a free app that allows guests to plan their visits in advance. This service is offered to Disneyland and Walt Disney World resort guests, and is available for over 15 attractions at the two parks. It also provides real-time information, like wait times and dining options.

In addition to making reservations, guests can modify their time, change party members, and change the attraction they wish to visit. They can also choose to re-book the same reservation for a different park. But, before you can modify your reservation, you must cancel it first. If you choose to re-book the same reservation, you must do so before the return time window is up.

Guests who book a reservation outside of the same theme park as their Park Pass are subject to a two-hour time limit for modifying the selection. However, those with a Multiple Experiences Pass may have a different return time window.

To adjust a Genie+ selection, the guest needs to cancel it before the ride window is up. Then, the reservation can be re-booked for another attraction within the same theme park.

You can make a Genie+ reservation outside of the same park as your Park Pass. During this time, you can modify the time and change the selected attraction, but you cannot change the party or park.

Disney Genie Plus at Walt Disney World is similar to Lightning Lane reservations at Disneyland. As of June 8, if you have a Park Pass, you can make your selection 120 minutes after your original reservation. However, this is not the case if you’re hopping between parks. When you’re in the first park, you won’t be able to choose a time before 2 p.m.

In December 2022, individual Lightning Lane selections will be modifiable in the My Disney Experience app. These selections are also eligible for refunds, if the attraction you selected is closed during your trip.

With Disney Genie, you can enjoy a customized experience, from the attraction you select to the menu you order. Even if you don’t have the time to eat in the park, you can use the mobile Disney food orders to get your favorite Disney foods delivered to your door.
